Hi I'm Coralee

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single widowed mom with three awesome kids. Currently, I teach English Language Arts at a junior high school. These two things keep me very busy, but if I happen to have a free moment I like to coach and play team sports, read, camp, hike, flower garden, play the piano, sing, and eat chocolate.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel very lucky to have been received into a family who were and are members of the church. I was adopted as a baby, and I couldn't love my adoptive parents more. I realize that if my birth parents would have kept me my life would have been very different and I probably wouldn't be a mormon. Throughout my life I have continued to stay active in the church. I have been through some pretty rough stuff and the gospel of Jesus Christ has been the one constant in my life. When everything seemed to be spinning out of control I knew I could rely on my Savior and that his love would see me through.

How I live my faith

In my church I have an assignment to teach an adult sunday school class where we study the scriptures in depth. I have just finished up with teaching the Old Testament and this coming year will be teaching lessons from the New Testament. Although challenging at first, this calling has been a real blessing in my life. I have learned so much as I have studied the scriptures in a more concentrated way and applied the lessons therein to my daily living.

What do Mormons believe happens after we die?

The doctrines about life after death are especially important to me. About two and half years ago I lost my husband to leukemia. He was only 35 years old. As I grieved his death it really put my beliefs to the test as to what I truly believed about life after death. Our church teaches that there is a separation of body and spirit at death. The spirit then goes to paradise, which is a place of rest for righteous spirits as they await the second coming of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of all man kind. This simple truth that my husband's existence continues beyond the grave is a great comfort to me and my children. Show more Show less
