Hi I'm Noelle

I grew up a California girl, born in East LA. I'm a mom, writer, dreamer and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a storyteller. My husband, being deaf and blind, is a natural philosopher. He says "God created man because he loves stories," and I love that idea. There is so much out there that inspires me about people and I try to keep that the focus of my stories. I'm a mom, a wife, a writer and a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was separated from my first husband, I went to church with my other non member friends. I tried to find that same spirit I felt in the LDS church. Even though I felt alone and a little alien as a single mom in a church dominated by intact families, I knew that I belonged there, and that only there would I accomplish my goal of spiritual progression. I still struggle but I do love to feel my spirit is growing and expanding. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

The blessings for obedience are often unforeseeable, but what an amazing Father we have. He did not give me what I wanted, but he gave me exactly what I asked for and what I never knew was possible in giving me my husband. I am a hearing woman married to a deaf - blind man suffering from Ushers Syndrome. People sometimes think things are hard for us, and that we must have "so many problems." But we don't feel that way. We feel blessed. We feel awed by the love that Heavenly Father has shown us. My husband and I serve in Fallbrook Deaf Branch. I am one of the few hearing people in the branch that was not called to serve there. It is my branch as much as any of the deaf there and I feel blessed and privileged to know so many inspiring people, both deaf and hearing.
