Hi I'm Brett William Moore

Basketball is my passion and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am 6'4" and basketball is my passion, but i love to play all sports. I love math and one day hope to follow in the footsteps of my father and work in the banking world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have found out for myself that this is the church that Jesus Christ himself set up when He was on the earth, and that through the prophet Joseph Smith, Christ's church was restored to this earth and that church is the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that is was preserved for our day and age and that it has excactly what we need to be happy, as does the bible. Family is very important to me and I have found the values adn standards in this church excactly what I have been looking for and I know that they bring families closer together.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is by keeping the commandments of God. The commandments aren't restrictions to keep us from having fun, but guidelines God has given us to keep us safe and happy. I also read and study my scriptures everyday and pray every morning and night. I go out everyday and live my life to the fullest, keeping the commandments of God and I am as happy as I can be.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Brett William Moore
We pay 10 percent for a few reason. The first is because as it states in Malachi chapter 3, verse's 8-10 God has commanded us to pay tithing to help forward the work of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The second is because Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for us, the ultimate sacrifice, and the least we can do is pay 10 percent of our income to further his work that he suffered and died for. And the lord has promised us that as we pay the 10 percent that He will open the windows of heaven and pour down blessings upon us that there will not be room enough to recieve them all. What a fantastic promise to have! My family has seen those blessings as of late with my father and mother out of work but somehow we were able to stay afloat by paying our tithing even though we had no income. Show more Show less
