Hi I'm Shelly.

I am from Kansas and I am Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a kind man and love my role as mother of five children. I live on 12 acres in a rural suburban area and teach at the middle school. I have a master's degree in special education. I am also involved in implementing technology in education. My hobbies are growing plants such as flowers, vegetables, and fruits. I also love music and to travel out west to visit our National Parks.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was inactive as a youth and young adult, I now love to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have learned that by following the teachings of Jesus Christ that I can be a happy person and experience joy in my life. I have been coming to church for the past 18 years and it has been instrumental in helping me to raise my children. People at church are loving, kind, and will help each other. The programs of the church are amazing and there is specifically one for everyone no matter what age you are.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping out with scouting, visiting other sisters in our ward, and teaching young children at church on Sunday. Working in scouting has blessed my life and helped so many young boys grow up to be respectful men.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Shelly.
Mormons believe that family life if so important, We know there is no perfect family out there but as we learn to have meaningful relationships within our families we grow together in love. We believe families can be together forever as we live the teachings of Jesus Christ and go to the temple to be sealed together for eternity. It is not easy raising a family but by learning to spend time together for dinner and working together really helps to strengthen each other. Show more Show less
