Hi I'm Diana

I was born in Honduras, but have been living in Canada for the past 20 years! I'm a proud Latina, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two beautiful girls who keep me busy, but give me lots of love to compensate. I am married to a wonderful man, who is also a great father. I go to school part-time working towards finishing my bachelor's of... Still not decided on my major. Who says women can't do it all? :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I grew up as one, but my real conversion to the gospel did not happen until I was 26 years old, when I decided to really commit myself to God and Jesus. I was "born" a member, but we had active and inactive moments that deterred me from really gaining a true testimony. Once I was ready to live my life as God wanted me to, the changes happened and I have not looked back. I finally read the Book of Mormon as an adult and I know it has been given to us as a gift from our Heavenly Father to help us understand our Savior's love and sacrifice even more. I love that my daughters are growing up with the knowledge that we are children of God.

How I live my faith

By trying to serve others. I know I am not perfect, but I am striving to be a better person every day.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

To help members who are in dire circumstances. We are taught to be resourceful and to be self-reliant, but it does not always work out that way. Sickness or circumstances beyond our means, can make it hard for a family to subsist on the generosity of family, friends or even the government's aid. The welfare services were created to help those in need, where there is prove need they supply assistance. It is so nice to know that no matter how bad life can get, we do have a system that can help those with the most needs, at no cost to them. It is a huge blessing to know this for those suffering.
