Hi I'm Dennis

I ride horses, bike, and love my family. Now I am on a mission in Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, Well after many years of enjoyable work my dear wife and I decided to retire and go on a mission for our church. We love our family and miss the family work projects, biking trips, and just chatting and laughing around the dinner table. But we love our new assignment and we are learning how to stay in touch with our family over the internet.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never doubted the wonderful blessings of the Church. After high school I joined the army reserves. I met a young man in the army who asked about the Church. He asked if I really believed that it was true. I told him yes but I knew in my heart that I had never asked Heavenly Father and that I lacked the firm conviction of knowing that it is true. That evening I knelt by my bed and asked God if Joseph Smith was a prophet. As I asked, my hearts was touched and I felt a reassuring feeling of love and assurance that the Church was true and that it provides the way for lasting happiness and peace. I have received this reassuring feeling many times since then.

How I live my faith

There are many effective ways to help the poor and needy. After many years of working in welfare and humanitarian services, I have come to believe that the most effective and lasting development comes through helping others accept and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Serving a mission gives me an opportunity to help others gain faith in the Savior, give up harmful habits, and follow a new path that leads to immeasurable joy.
