Hi I'm Katie Bailey

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 26 years old and have been married for 2 1/2 years to a policeman. This past June we became parents for the first time to a little girl! I got my LPN license 2 years ago (and am really hoping to be able to go back to school and get my RN). I really enjoy helping others and making a difference in peoples lives. Now that I am a stay-at-home mom, I am really able to make a difference in her life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me reason to hope that I am not alone in this world when bad things happen. I lost my mom 2 years ago to cancer, and if I thought I would never see her again, it would have made the situation completely unbearable. But because I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me and each of us, it gave me peace and so much comfort during that very difficult time. Being a Mormon makes me a better wife, mother, sister, and friend. I am happy when I live the gospel because I know I am doing what my Savior wants me to do.

How I live my faith

I got called a year ago to serve in the Young Women's organization in my ward. I love my calling because I serve with people and for people that inspire me to be better and serve more willingly. It's been such a wonderful experience for me!

What is being a Mormon like?

Some people have the opinion that being a member of the church is restrictive, but to me its liberating! It's liberating because I know that if I live what the gospel teaches I know that I can be free from certain diseases, addictions, or other possible consequences. Show more Show less
