Hi I'm Tim

I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, and a bachelor's and a master's degree in physics. My wife and I have two young kids.

About Me

I'm a full-time student right now. I have completed my bachelor's degree in biochemistry and physics. I am currently working on a graduate degree in physics. I hope to be able to apply my learning to eventually invent new tools for use in research and the betterment of human health. I enjoy learning and studying. I appreciate the chance to be able to integrate the Best of human learning with the Eternal Truth of the Gospel. I'm a new Dad this year. Me and my wife love our little baby boys, and he makes us happy with his wonderful personality and his cute smile and laugh. Finally, I enjoy music very much, and I play the guitar and piano, having goals to reach concert musician caliber performance within my lifetime, as well as share the joy of music with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church. When I was just little, my parents lived in a number of remote towns. As a result, our drives to Church on Sunday were quite long, often making the whole trip take up much of the day. As a result, it was quite an excursion for a little boy, and as is typical to the nature of young kids, maybe not always what I considered especially enjoyable from the start. But, I can distinctly remember, when, as a young primary lad, I felt the first recognizable impressions of the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit rest upon my heart and mind. Subsequent to these first inklings of the great goodness and peace of the Gospel, I began to have my heart changed and my desires became to attend Church with my parents. Or, at least I remember feeling that even if I did not always feel especially excited about getting in the car Sunday mornings, I would remember what I had felt and this motivated me to be a happier about the opportunity. Then, a few years later, still before my teen years, I read the Book of Mormon cover-to-cover, and received a witness of its truth! Because of this, I knew from that point that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's restored Church--and that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Throughout the week, I try to live the teachings of the Gospel by sharing or bringing up the truths of the Gospel when I have a chance, and just be attempting to be the kind of person the God would want me to be. I feel like there are plenty of role models of sin in the world, so God values those who are examples of faith.
