Hi I'm Marci

I am a stay at home wife and mom, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Wife and a Mom. I have a husband who loves most of all being a Husband and a Dad. He also likes playing video games and strategy games. I have three very cheerful children who I adore. I am a stay at home Mom. My hobbies are church, family, friends, and cleaning the house it is a hobby, hence not always gotten too . Occasionally I get the chance to play the Wii, read a book, play the piano, or study Japanese. I like to walk, hike, bike (not that I do it very often just like :) and I do taekwondo twice a week with my son. I have a bachelor's degree in Japanese. I am surrounded by tons of wonderful friends and family. I wouldn't be me without them!

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon when I was 19. I am a Mormon for two main reasons. One I know that this is Jesus Christ church (there is a longer story behind how I know that, and I would be happy to share if you asked :). The second is best described by a scripture in the Book of Mormon. Mosiah 18:8-10 "8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light; 9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life— 10 Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?

How I live my faith

So far in my 15 years of being a member of the church I have served with the youth, served a mission, served in nursery and cub scouts, and had various music callings. My favorite ways to live my faith are through being a wife, mother, and what is called a visiting teacher. I and a friend, visit regularly specific women in our congregation (ward) the Lord has assigned me to visit (That assignment comes through leaders over the women's organization in my ward). My husband would tell you I want to help everyone, I love that the Lord helps me to focus on a few. Plus my life has been blessed so much by those I have had the chance to visit. I love the opportunities I have to make friends and serve others.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Marci
Absolutely not . We are trying to emulate the Savior. He very much helped everyone and we try our best to help as many as we can . Show more Show less
