Hi I'm Dede

I'm an engineer, a single woman, and favorite aunt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single woman who works really hard at being a favorite aunt and a good daughter and sister! I currently work as an engineering manager, with a master's degree in manufacturing engineering. I love to learn, go to the gym, and if the weather is good, join friends for golf, hiking, or jumping on the trampoline. I love Mexican and Italian food. Making blankets for community service projects also keeps me sane with a crazy, busy life! I have lived in Ohio, Georgia, Colorado, Utah. I have traveled to Asia and Europe many times and have visited almost every state in the US. No matter where I have lived or traveled, I know that Heavenly Father watches out for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the teachings of Jesus Christ are true! I have great parents who instilled in me a foundational faith in Jesus Christ and guided me to baptism at age 8. I have and continue to read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, which testify of Jesus Christ and provide guidance to my life. I continue in my faith because it gives light and perspective to my daily life. I don't know what I would do without it; it is my anchor and north star.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have been given different assignments that have stretched me. Most recently, I was asked to be the music director in my congregation. What a shock! I am not musical (3 years of piano lessons and I quit!) and make mistake after mistake. But I've learned that Lord stretches us and makes more of us than we can make of ourselves. I am learning daily and am teaching others patience! I also regularly visit several ladies in my area, whom I call my friends!
