Hi I'm Daniel

I report for a small newspaper in American Falls, Idaho. But mostly I help raise two beautiful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I live in a small town of about 4000 people. As a reporter for the local newspaper, I work a lot in the community going to events and covering local sports. But mostly, we work at raising our two wonderful daughters, a two-year-old and a one-year-old.

Why I am a Mormon

As I child, I always assumed that the Mormon church was the place to be because I was raised Mormon. But one time, around 10 or 11, I was playing with some cassette tapes. One of them was a tape about the church. As I listened to the tape, which was about the confusion that exists in the world and the answers the gospel of Christ might bring, I felt the most happiness I have ever felt in my life. Since then, as I participate in church activities and as I discuss the gospel with others, I continue to feel that happiness. After that experience, I knew that God could communicate with me and I decided to remain a Mormon for the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

The most important part of my faith is giving my life to Jesus Christ. When he suffered for my sins, he took away all the pain and guilt I ought to be experiencing for the rest of eternity. So, I seek out his words in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon and try to live by them everyday. Mostly I try my best to help other people I come across and to raise my children to follow Christlike principles in their lives. After our church services, men and women meet together in separate groups to receive specialized instruction. I help teach a group of other men. I learn a lot more about the gospel from teaching, and this opportunity has strengthened my understanding of Jesus and his giving his life for me.
