Hi I'm Kirk

I grew up in New Mexico. I am a missionary in the Nebraska Omaha Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four kids. I went to college for a year and played college football. When I go back I will go to school I will major in Medicine and train to be a Orthopedic Surgeon. I love sports, especially football. I like movies, music and video games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I never doubted the beliefs of my family, but I gained my testimony of the Book of Mormon from reading, and praying. I had to been told my whole life to do this, but it wasn't until I actually followed the instruction of my teachers, and parents, and felt so much joy. I love the spirit it brings, and the closeness I have felt in my family from it. I think to sum up why I am Mormon is because I cannot deny the truth, the happiness it brings by living the gospel, or the love I feel from my Heavenly Father when I pray and am obedient to the commandments he has set forth.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my life saturated in prayer, and reading the scriptures. I am serving a mission in the Nebraska Omaha Mission. I live my faith trying to share it with everyone. This is one of the best things I have ever done in my life. Before my mission I lived my faith just like any other normal teenager, but I always followed the standards that The Church had set forth, and it really helped me through my trials. It helped me when I lost friends due to accidents or just plain disasters. It is by strict obedience that we can be happy.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Being a missionary, I have a very familiar experience with proselyting. Another way to describe proselyting is just doing missionary work. The very last verses of the the book of Matthew is Jesus Christ giving his apostles a commision to go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I proselyte so that I can share with the people the love and true happiness I have discovered from being a member of the Latter Day Saint church. The feelings of comfort knowing that the end is not really the end. That there is life after this, there is progress and still love in my family life, because they will be with me after this life.
