Hi I'm Darcy

I am an aerospace engineer and some of my work is orbiting over your head right now. I'm grateful to be a Mormon.

About Me

I have a Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering and have worked on various satellite projects during my education and career. I now design future aircraft concepts. My three older boys love airplanes and rockets too. My youngest boy is a baby and loves to smile at anyone nearby. My wonderful wife keeps us from chaos and the five boys in our family, myself included, are her biggest fans.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church for many reasons. One is the peace it brings during the good times and hard times in life. A second is how I have become a better person by being a Church member and choosing to become more like Christ. I have realized over the years that I like myself more the more closely I live like Him, and the Church is a big help to this end. The third reason is the knowledge that has come through studying the gospel as taught in the Church. I have discovered it is true by faith and in answer to prayer to my individual soul. I have learned many things through the scientific method while studying engineering and many other things through faith while studying the scriptures and words of the prophets. I have repeatedly tested both engineering and gospel truths I have learned during work and life situations and both have passed those tests again and again.

How I live my faith

I love and pay attention to my family and they are the highest priority in my life. I work hard for my employer and put in the required hours and effort. I fulfill my responsibilities in the church. Currently I serve in the church supporting my congregation's leader. I have been greatly impressed with the quality of people with whom I serve and how much they care for others in the community, even those who are not members of this church. Like I said in my introduction, I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
