Hi I'm Tim

I am an husband, father and a professional businessman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member my entire life. Growing up I doubted the church. It was important to me to not just do what my parents did but to discover the truthfulness of the gospel on my own. I love Jesus Christ and the Gospel. I am a proud father of twins (boy/girl) and have another baby girl. My wife is a convert to the gospel and a wonderful mother. I am a professional businessman, I work for an independent insurance agency which takes up a lot of my time. When I am not working I enjoy Golfing, Wake boarding, Wake surfing and am still old school and pull out the Water-ski every once in a while. Every day my kids amaze me by what they can do.

Why I am a Mormon

As I mentioned earlier even though I have been a member my entire life I did doubt the truth of the gospel in my teen and early twenties. My parents never forced me to go to church which I thank them greatly for. All they ever did was support me and lead by example. I reached the point in my life where I needed to decide what is right for me and at that point my family. My wife and I her never having been to the LDS church before started attending many domination's of churches. As we progressed through our journey we were attending the LDS church as well. I knew every time we went that it was the right place for us. I started praying to Heavenly Father that my wife would feel the same way too. After a year of bouncing around to different churches we finally started regularly attending the LDS church because we were most comfortable there. At that point I knew it was my responsibility as a husband and father to become the leader in the family. I fervently prayed that my wife would be touched by the spirit and be baptized. I received an answer that I had to get myself straight and see the bishop. I did. I never have had a more up close experience with my Savior. I believe in repentance. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I know that spirit is in each of us and the Heavenly Father answers our prayers. A year after I poured myself into the gospel my wife was baptized. I have watched my family grow closer because of the gospel. I know that we will become an eternal family and be together forever. I say this in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

Everyday my family enjoys praying together. We attend our local LDS church where I serve as the Ward Mission Leader. I get to work closely with our local missionaries and leaders in our church. Our area is very multi cultural and I love the people. My calling or job in the church is to help the members work with the missionaries to spread and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I get to directly help the people in my area and love every minute of it. The reason I enjoy my calling is I get to work with members, non-members and inactive members of the church. I believe that without the effort of my Bishops and leaders in the church when I was investigating I would have never come back to the gospel. Now in my calling I get to return the favor and help those people in need.

Are Mormons Christians?

Tim
Yes, Mormons or Latter-day Saints believe in Jesus Christ. Therefore we are considered Christians. We believe that Jesus, our Savior died and atoned for our sins so that we can repent and after we die we may live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. Show more Show less
