Hi I'm Vicki

I am a parent of 4 & a grandmother of 12. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Mike & I were married 45 years ago. Our four children kept us busy in the first part of our life & now our grandchildren are keeping us busy now. We love being Grandpa and Grandma but wonder where all the time has gone. We remember vividly when our children did some of the things we see our grandchildren do. We love watching our children doing the disciplining now & we get to step in for all the hugs & kisses.

Why I am a Mormon

I started reading the Book of Mormon when I was 16. I read it everywhere - at home, on the bus to work and every spare minute. I was raised a Mormon but I had to know for myself if the church was true & so I studied. I also prayed to my Heavenly Father. I already had a testimony about the Holy Ghost & so when I felt the Holy Ghost bear witness to me of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, I was thrilled. I have never stopped reading the Book of Mormon & learn new things each time I read.

How I live my faith

I have spent many years working with the girls ages 12 to 18. I have been to camp with them, produced plays and coached basketball. I love the young women of this age. They are so full of life. They have taught me a lot about life and how to have fun. I have tried to teach them about Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I encourage all girls to pray - which is to communicate with our Heavenly Father about everything in your life. He wants to hear from you.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Vicki
When we were dating, we both wanted to marry someone that we could be married in the temple for time & all eternity. We both had a testimony that as a husband & wife, we could live together forever not just for our time on earth. We had studied the gospel of Jesus Christ & knew this doctrine to be true. We were married by the proper authority, by one having the priesthood to marry for eternity. We remember kneeling at the altar in the temple across from each other & looking into each others eyes. We knew this was right. We also knew that children we had would be ours for eternity. We have been grateful for the knowledge of this principle for a long time & continue to be as we grow older together. We thank our Heavenly Father for blessing us with the Holy Ghost & bear our testimony that this principle is true. We are happy beyond words that we can still look into each others eyes & know we belong to each for eternity. Show more Show less
