Hi I'm Glenn

I'm a husband, dad, golfer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Michigan, graduated from college in Utah, and I currently live in Georgia, where I have been for the past 14 years. I work in Human Resources. I enjoy playing golf and going to movies, but what I like to do most in my spare time is being with my wife of 26 years. We love traveling, hiking, and working around our home. I love being a dad to our two girls and, just recently, becoming a father-in-law to my oldest daughter's husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the Church just before my 19th birthday. I was working at a summer job in Michigan when two missionaries from the Mormon church knocked on my door and asked if I would like to learn more about my Heavenly Father's Plan for me. The message they shared with me about where I came from, why I was here, and where I was going after this life, resinated with me. It felt as if I had heard this message before. Although I had never been taught these things, it seemed as if I had always believed them. They then told me that the knowlege of the Plan of Salvation had become lost to mankind after the death of Jesus and his disciples, as described in the New Testament. The message from the missionaries was simple and beautiful- God had restored His church upon the earth once more; prophets and apostles again walked the earth; God once again revealed the Plan of Salvation; and the missionaries taught about Jesus Christ and his role as our Savior.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a leader in our local congregation. I help organize and plan meetings, and work with the youth in our church. Together with other leaders, we plan activities and lessons for our youth, including summer youth camps and community service projects. The purpose of our meetings and activities is to follow the Savior's example.

Are Mormons Christians?

Glenn
Yes. We believe Jesus Christ to be the son of God and that He died for the sins of the world. We believe that salvation comes because of His atonement. Show more Show less
