Hi I'm Clyde "Skip"

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Skip Weeks. I was born and raised in Utah as a Mormon. I served as a missionary in Washington, Oregon and Idaho for two years and when I returned home and married my high school sweetheart. Five years and three children later, we moved to San Diego and gained a new appreciation for the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We learned to SCUBA dive there were blessed with three more sons there. After nine years, we moved back to Utah, where we had another daughter and now live. I love to fly powered parachutes, ride my motorcycle, fish and travel. I am a photography and technology nut and love the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in these latter days, as it existed in previous dispensations, and yet in these times, in it's fullness. I know that the Savior lived as Jehovah of the Old Testament and as the Savor of mankind in the meridian of time. I love him and am so grateful for the thousands of events in my life that have confirmed his love for me and the reality of the truth of the gospel in my life. This gospel is an anchor of faith and hope to me. I try hard to embrace and love all men and women wherever they are on their quest for truth. I am comforted to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is broad enough to embrace all truth. I like to say that the gospel of Jesus Christ IS truth!

How I live my faith

Currently I serve as a counselor in a stake presidency in a Utah community and am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to work with the leaders in our area who serve the children in our area. They are amazing kids. Our stake is a group of members of the church that numbers over 6,000 members. I try hard to emulate the Savior in all that I do. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the heart of my life.
