Hi I'm Paul

I grew up in Maryland. I'm a family doctor and I currently live in England.

About Me

I'm a husband and father with three daughters. As a family, we love to travel and learn about diverse cultures. I also enjoy mountain biking and basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in this church, so you might think I'm a member just because it's a family tradition. In fact, when I was a teenager my parents encouraged me to pray and study so that I could decide on my own why I believe. My faith grew and I came to know that life does have a purpose, Christ's church is on the earth, and it is led by a living prophet. Now that I have a family of my own, I'm grateful for the gospel where I find instruction on how to be a good husband and father.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in my congregation. I'm impressed by their determination to do the right thing when there are so many temptations to stray from the path. It's important for young people to know that God loves them and knows them individually.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We all make mistakes, and we can't return to heaven if we are not free from sin. The Atonement of Jesus , Christ provides a way for us to be forgiven. Christ suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross so that when we sincerely repent, we can be forgiven (Book of Mormon, Mosiah 4:6). Part of repentance is forgiving ourselves and not continuing to stress about previous mistakes. I make mistakes every day, but I know that if I repent and strive to do better that the Lord will forgive me. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

God chose prophets such as Noah, Abraham, and Moses and his church today continues to be led by a prophet. I know that when I choose to follow our living prophet I am blessed with a happier, more peaceful life. You can test this for yourself by reading some of the talks from our most recent General Conference. Show more Show less
