Hi I'm Karl Bickmore

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very happily married father of 3 great kids. 2 daughters and 1 boy. I am a very musical person. I studied guitar seriously in college as my major for a while and I love to sing when given the opportunity. I am also the owner of an IT company that services all over the country.

Why I am a Mormon

I was originally raised in a predominately mormon area but never fully embraced it. I guess I didn't like the idea of doing just because everyone else was. I had to determine for myself what I believe. When I was 20 years old I had been dating my soon to be wife for 3 years. I had been out from my house and had done some extensive travel on my own. I finally fealt the burning desire to know what I believe and I put all options on the table. I like to think that I came home. I finally realized what I believe and that is 100% momon. I finally had my own beliefs and knew what direction I needed to go. My wife and I made this decision together and we jumped in head first. My life has seen nothing but improvements ever since. Most importantly, my wife and I are happier and we love our life raising a family in the church and we love the service we are able to do because of it.

How I live my faith

Currently I am in my 4th year serving in an Elder's quorum presidency. The Elders quorum is the Adult Priesthood organization of the Church. I get to work with some amazing men there. I have been the President for the last 2 years. I abosulutely love this opportunity to serve. We get to organize the annual Father and Son campout, we are also in charge of the daddy daughter annual event. My organization also organizes and follows through on home teaching which is an amazing experience to be a part of. It is all of us taking care of each other. We also get the opportunity to help those in need. We regularly help with day to day needs for those who are in need.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Karl Bickmore
The Holy Bible is scripture. It is the word of God. We study it and learn of it, it is inspirational and must be followed in order to come closer to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Our understanding of God's will would be incomplete without the Bible. So many wonderfull stories and inspirational moments have come to me from sunday school learning about the Bible. Also it is full of Doctrine. It tells of Adam and so many other prophets and give such incredible lessons about the life of Jesus Christ. People will often note that we Mormons believe in other scripture such as the Book of Mormon. This is true, but the Bible is an essential cornerstone of our beliefs and the Book of Mormon compliments it. Show more Show less
