Hi I'm Tyler

Born and raised in California and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

California-bred, love running far, the beach, and fresh music. Work in the action sports industry for a high-end polarized sunglasses company doing PR and Marketing.

Why I am a Mormon

It is not by default that I'm a Mormon. I came to a point in my life where I wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was all everyone cracked it up to be. I read it, and through a number of personal experiences knew that the gospel it taught was true. Sure, I questioned some of the doctrine at first, but when I tried it out it I found myself happier than I'd ever been in my life. Why not set a high standard for myself? If I want to grow and progress and become better than I am now, I have to have high goals. That's exactly what the gospel of Jesus Christ does, and the Mormon church helps me to access that gospel.

How I live my faith

It's more than just a Sunday thing for me. It's about doing my best every day to spread the joy and love of Christ to others. If I can make someone else's day, I'm doing something right. By helping others experience that sense of peace, I find myself growing closer to my Savior. That, more than anything else, is motivation enough to live the gospel of Christ.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Nope. It's totally up to you. If you feel inspired to do it, go for it. If you don't want to serve one, no one will ever force you too. In fact, to me, it's better that you don't go at all than be forced to go against your will. For me, I wanted to go, so I did, but I have friends who didn't want to go and didn't. Show more Show less
