Hi I'm Nathan.

I'm a career seeker, an amateur jazz trombone musician, a husband, and a father.... and I'm blessed to be a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with my bachelors degree. I majored in Environmental Science and minored in Music. I love my family and my friends. I'm the youngest of 5 children. Between my wife and I we have 27 nieces and nephews. Some of my hobbies include playing the trombone, going on walks, playing flag football, and making my wife laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a second generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The joy, peace, and love that I feel as I worship my Savior, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father drive me to continue the legacy that my parents started.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church I strive to live as I learn and not just 'talk the talk, but walk the walk'. I do this by serving in my local ward, by volunteering with local charities, and rest homes. I try to do as the Savior would, 'succor[ing] the weak, lift[ing] up the hands which hang down, and strengthen[ing] the feeble knees' (DC 81:5).

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

I think the best place to start is in our own lives and in our own homes. If we can control our behaviors and ourselves then we will have a much easier time helping others who struggle with pornography. But how can we stop? How can one overcome? It is through the atonement of Christ. Pres. Faust, a former member of the first presidency taught, "Each new day that dawns can be a new day for us to begin to change. We can change our environment. We can change our lives by substituting new habits for old. We can mold our character and future by purer thoughts and nobler actions". If you are struggling with pornography you must first chose to change. And then with prayer and fasting, and by diligently replacing that habit with good ones you can relive and free yourself from this addiction. I have seen this change happen in the lives of those around me. I know it can happen. I know that if individuals will come unto Christ He will show us the way up and the way out of any trial and any challenge we may face. But first we must chose and then we must act to stop the spread and influence of pornography in our own lives and in our own homes. And then, with a loving and understanding heart we can reach out to others and help them do the same. Show more Show less
