Hi I'm Bryan

I was born in D.C., I'm a surfer, skier, soccer player and am driven by what I'm passionate about. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am an extremely active person. Basically an adrenaline junky. I've played soccer my entire life and enjoy skiing, surfing, skateboarding and motorcycles. Anything that can get you moving, I pretty much enjoy. I'm 20 years old and planning on continuing college possibly looking into business. My life has been crazy. I've been fortunate to ski, surf, scuba dive, ride motorcycles and travel all over the world. Out of everything, I think I like the beach the best, there's something pure about it that other places just don't have.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it's where God's led me to be. I wasn't always all about the church. I actually was kind of against it for a while. I wanted to find what truly made me happy and I wanted to test everything I had heard and seen and learned. I started with God and just tested to see if He was there. I know he is. Through constant help and guidance that I know could only come from God and the holy ghost, I was given the experiences and feelings and guidance to help me know that this is His church. Established by his servants. I was pretty happy before, and I never had a bad life, but there was always something missing and it was my heart. I needed to find out for myself if there was really a God. If what happened to me was mere coincidence or God sent. From everything I can see, my membership in this church is what God would have me do with my life and any changes I need to make, I feel confident that he will help me make them if ever necessary.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by trying my best to first be the best me and then help those I love most. By serving a mission and trying to fully put my life in God's hands by actively searching for what he would have me do, I feel happy and content. While I don't always get things right, by trying to serve and help others, I feel myself grow while hopefully bringing a smile to others faces as well. I want to reach my full potential as a person and son of God and I know that that can only be accomplished by putting him first. I can usually tell by my inner happiness if I've done well or not in my day and if I fall short, there's always tomorrow.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Go for the gold. Actually try hard. Put forth a real effort. Just like in sports if you give things second thought and doubt yourself and barely try, perhaps you'll come out with a decent experience but never what you would have hoped for. Really go for it. Pray, read and act! Speak with the missionaries and be real with them, yourself and God. Then take the leap of faith and enjoy the happiness that comes when you actually trust in God in your decisions. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

It's the greatest opportunity ever. If you are really going to trust in God, being a mormon is where it's at. You have to put your faith in God to ask him in prayer if the book of mormon is true, or if there is a prophet on the earth again. It is such a great and happy experience to test it out and then ask God what you should do. It's brought me the greatest happiness I've ever had because it's taught me to truly trust in God in all my decisions. Show more Show less
