Hi I'm Jennifer

I am a wife, mother, student, and daughter of my Father in Heaven.

About Me

I am an almost 32 year old wife, mother of 4, and a returning college student. My husband and I have been married for 10 wonderful years and recently just took our second honeymoon to Ireland. It's a beautiful country and if you ever get the chance to go, do it! I am also a mother of 2 boys and 2 girls, ages 9 1/2, 8, almost 7, and 2. I am a proud soccer mom since my 3 older children play soccer. I am also attending college. It has been such a blessing to challenge myself and go back to school. I took an 11 year break to get married and have children and now I am back! I am thankful for the opportunity. My goal is to get a degree in psychology and counsel families and assist them to communicate better and to heal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that it is true. I have been a Mormon since the age of 5. The only reason it wasn't younger was because I am adopted and that's the age my parents adopted me. Growing up I was a member because I was told I was and because my family members were. It wasn't until the age of 12 that I received my personal testimony about the truthfulness of the Gospel. Since then I have always known that it was true. However, I have made poor choices at times in my life. I was inactive in the church during my early 20's and did not live according to the principles taught by the prophet. At the time I thought I was happy, but I really wasn't. I was just going through the motions. Now that I am living the Gospel, I realize looking back on my life that this is how I am meant to live my life. I am meant to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost to guide and direct me, to have the atonement of the Jesus Christ because there are times when I make mistakes, and to live with my Father in Heaven for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher for some of the women in my local church. With my calling I give a lesson on talks given by the leaders of the church and teach my fellow sisters. However, I am learning as well as teaching. It is a wonderful opportunity to go over the general conference talks and to hear the words of the leaders in the church.
