Hi I'm Brett

I'm a math teacher, a computer geek, and a track coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to the most wonderful woman for the past twenty years, and we have six children, five boys and one girl. I teach math to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, and really enjoy (most of the time) fixing and taking care of the computers at my school. I enjoy almost all sports, have coached high school football, and currently coach high school track. I also enjoy reading and playing games with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life. I look at my life and realize that I have so many blessings that I would not have if I wasn't living the commandments of our Savior. While I still have struggles and trials, relying on Christ and his Gospel makes it a lot easier to get through those struggles. The strength that I receive from my wife, from the leaders of the Church, and especially from Jesus Christ, helps me know of the love that my Heavenly Father has for me. I am a Mormon because of the knowledge that I have of the Plan of Salvation, the plan that lets me know where I came from, why I am on this Earth, and what happens after I die. It gives us the opportunity to return to live with our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. I have hope and faith that through the atonement of Christ, his suffering and crucifixion and resurrection, I can return to heaven, regardless of how much I may mess up. But mostly, I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of the Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I am responsible for a lot of widows and older people in my congregation. I have hauled a lot of firewood for heating, and cleaned a lot of yards. I have helped build porches and fixed roofs. I live my faith by raising my children to be the best people they can be. I try to teach them to show kindness to all people, and to be helpful to those around them.
