Hi I'm Alyson

I am a mother of three, and I love to cook. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three wonderful children, who I thank God for every day. I love to cook and bake, and I love a good book. I especially like books on child development, educating our youth, and anything where I can learn. Of course, I also love the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I wouldn't be the same person today without those books in my life. I grew up in Idaho with five siblings, all of us homeschooled. We enriched our lives with religion and music. Now that I am grown and have children of my own, I want to show them how great life can be if we follow the Savior, Jesus Christ. Without my faith I am nothing. I know this is the true church of Christ on the earth today, and if you give it a chance you can too.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon mainly because the Holy Spirit has confirmed to my soul the truthfulness of this church. I also am a member because so much good is done by this church, and I want to be a part of that. Also, I have a church family and wherever I go I will have one. This church is all over the world. When we moved across the country, we were able to contact members in the area we were moving to and they were so helpful and loving (and they didn't know me at all). Someone even went and checked out an apartment for us to see if it was a place we would like to live. I know that wherever I go I will have people who will love and help me, and I can also be someone who can love and help others. I know that Christ is my Savior, and I know that He has a prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson. I also know that He prepared and preserved the Book of Mormon for us to have another witness of Him.

How I live my faith

How I try to live my faith is simple. I pray daily. I read the scriptures daily. I care for my family. I try to look for ways to serve others, and I try to feel the Holy Spirit guiding my life to tell me what Christ would have me do. I work with the children in church by planning and leading the singing time. These children are so precious, and I am so pleased to be able to help them gain a better understanding of their Savior.
