Hi I'm Crystal

I love my friends and family. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student studying Speech Language Pathology. I am putting my education on hold for 18 months in order to serve a full-time mission in California. I have a gift with children, I love them and connect with them easily. I hope one day to be a Speech Therapist in Elementary schools. I love the outdoors, my heart lies in the country. I love writing, it is the best way I can express myself. I want to be married in the Orlando, Florida Temple to be sealed for eternity to my husband. I want to start a family of my own and be a stay at home mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because it is the only true church on the face of the earth. At the age of eight I was officially baptized a member. I am a Mormon because I not only believe, I know without a shadow of a doubt, that this is Christ’s true church today. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he translated the golden plates into The Book of Mormon. I have read and studied The Book of Mormon for myself and I know of its truthfulness. I know that by reading this sacred scripture, along with the Bible, I can find answers to my many questions and become closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and find peace in happiness in this life. I know I am a daughter of a Heavenly King, I know that I am on this earth to prove my faithfulness and love to Him, and I know that if we keep His commandments and repent of our sins, we have the opportunity to live with Him again after this earth life. I know that Jesus Christ is my elder brother and that he suffered in Gethsemane and died in Calvary for me, for everyone. His Atonement is one of the greatest blessings we have been given. Jesus Christ not only led a perfect life and set an example of how we all should live, he bled from every pore, he suffered for our sins as well as our hurt, pain, anguish, problems, everything. He felt everything so He can better help us when we experience pain. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today to lead and guide the church. It makes sense that our church has a Prophet and 12 apostles, just like Christ’s own church when He walked the earth. I love how anywhere in the world, you step foot in a Mormon meeting, it will be the same order and the same spirit. I am a Mormon because I believe and know for myself that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in California, teaching others exactly what I believe and helping them find out for themselves that this is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I work all day, every day helping people apply the teachings of Christ in their lives in order to find more peace and happiness in this life. I live my life in a way that people can see that I’m different, that I have the Light of Christ within me. This is more than a religion to me, it’s a lifestyle. It's a commitment to serve Heavenly Father and our brothers and sisters, to be an example, to remember Christ always, and to keep the commandments. I live my faith by trying everyday to live the way my Savior would live, to say and do what He would say and do if He were walking the earth. I'm not perfect, as no one on this earth is. I make mistakes but I know I can always find my way back through repentance and the Atonement of my Savior.
