Hi I'm Maureen

I'm a Mormon. born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, now I live in CT, with my loving Husband and my two kids.

About Me

I'm a ADSM for AVON, I'm studying Criminal Justice, run the treasury in my son's school as well as most of the fundraiser in it and around town. Run my house and sadly have little time for hobbies nowadays. I do love to read but I can't keep awake for long. I study fashion when I was very young, and know how to saw. I was given a computer over 12 years ago and now a days I can do pretty much everything that it is to do with computers. I speak 3 languages but I write only two, and if understanding Portuguese counts as knowing it so I know four languages then :D Life is full of learning opportunities I try to take advantage of every single one.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduce to the church by two handsome missionaries who told me about the purpose of Temples and Family Work. In my young years I was intrigued by my family and the connection that all humans have to each other as I learned more about the plan of salvation, family history and work and temples, I realized how important my family was/is for me and how I would love to be with them for eternity. I am a Mormon because I believe that families should be together forever and because I know that through the teachings of the gospel, and family work I will be with my ancestors and my family one day.

How I live my faith

My first calling was as the Family History consultant, my bishop, who I barely knew saw in me great possibilities, and little i knew I served a two years mission with the FH department, and after almost 10 years of on and off callings, Family History is what I was born to do and I see it as my calling in life.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Maureen
The lifestyle of a Mormon is no different from anybody else, we wake up do our prayers and a little study, go to work, or school, come home and try to spend quality time with our families. We eat as healthy as we can, and exercise as frequently as we can. We try not to consume items that can harm our bodies or minds. We put our families first, work second and Church third. We have parties, do Halloween (my favorite), easter, and of course Christmas. We do not go to bars or clubs or put ourselves in positions where we can be tempted to do wrong. We try to help others and always search the opportunity to progress in our temporal and spiritual life. Show more Show less
