Hi I'm Brooks

I'm a Mormon, and I LOVE IT!

About Me

I like going to the mall, watching movies, playing x-box, swimming, playing with my family, hanging out with my friends and I'm from Phoenix Ahwatukee Arizona!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i was raised in the Church, but i really "converted" while i was serving a mission. The story I would like to share is one very, very dear to me, for it is when I was TRULY converted to this religion, even though I was born in the church. This story occurs while I was serving a mission for this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was going through a VERY difficult time, about 6 months in, and I realized I had no real testimony of the church, for I was just crutching off my parents' testimonies. I wanted to go home. There was no point in me being out on a mission when I could be going to school, working, hanging out with my friends and just living life. I talked to the leader of the missionaries about leaving, even though my bags were basically packed, and he told me to just wait a little longer. He asked me as well to read and pray more about this church and if what I was doing was good. So I decided to take his advice. Before that though I made a list of positives and negatives about each side, staying and leaving. To my astonishment, leaving had a better looking list, at the time. I have since looked at that list and noticed all the positives of going home were due to my pride and they were all earthly things. But, returning to my story, I took my leader’s advice. I read a lot, prayed more earnestly and fervently than ever before, and one night, while I was praying, I had the most glorious experience. I felt a feeling that was more amazing than anything I have felt before, something indescribable. Ever since that day, I have been unable to shake my own testimony. Neither has anyone else. I am happier than I have been before and am incredibly happy I followed that leader’s recommendation. And thats why i'm Mormon, AND YOUR WELCOME FOR IT!

How I live my faith

I live my faith doing what i feel my Father in Heaven would have me do. I try and participate when i can in the Church and do what i can to help others. Enough said!
