Hi I'm Scott

I'm happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey there! I'm Scott, a naturally sad person whose search for happiness went down quite a few avenues before arriving at the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a big sports fan and played quite a few growing up including baseball, basketball, football and rugby. I went to college for three years in Provo, Utah and am currently a missionary serving the Lord in Montana and Wyoming.

Why I am a Mormon

I have often heard people talking about their gut feelings, things they feel to be true despite what logic or reason may tell them. There is not one shred of proof that a man named Jesus lived 2,000 years ago. We can see the streets he allegedly walked, we have a shroud that allegedly covered his face while he laid in a tomb, but none of these evidences offer indisputable proof that Jesus did indeed walk the earth. All we have are the testimonies of eyewitnesses to His life and ministry, apostles and other disciples who gave their name to the world as ones bearing witness of His divinity. Though I have never seen God or His Son, I too give my name to the world as a witness that Jesus is my Savior, that He lives. I know this because I have studied the Book of Mormon, examined it and taken it to God to know for myself if that book is a true and sacred record. God answered those prayers and let me know that the fulness of His restored gospel is once again on the earth. As I have lived my life in the service of God, I have felt true and seemingly unexplainable happiness overwhelm me and I know for myself that He is there and that He loves me. I feel it in my heart, despite everything logic or reason may say, and no one can ever take that from me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the way many do. I pray every morning and every night. I study my scriptures every day. I try my best to obey God's commandments, and to repent when I slip up. I have served the church over the years by being a home teacher where we visit members in their homes to teach them true doctrine and to assist in their daily lives. I have also served as a financial clerk making sure every dollar and cent is accounted for. Currently, I am on a mission, trying my best to bring the gospel to all who will receive it.
