Hi I'm Peyton Wunderli

From Oahu to Utah to the ATL. I love playing sports & music. I'm a sneakerhead . I'm adopted & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Peyton. My story is unique. I was born out of wedlock to young parents in Honolulu, HI. Through prayer and council of those both in and outside of the Church, they decided to put me up for adoption when the time came for me to be born. I was placed into the best Mormon family out there. Sure they may be pale, but I love them more than anything. I also have a younger 19 year old brother who was also adopted from Atlanta, GA. I'm a 20 year old young gun serving in the Georgia Atlanta Mission, bike helmet and all. I love playing and watching all sports. I grew up playing baseball. I love me some sneakers. I guess you could say they're my weakness. I also love most any music. Reggae, hip hop, classic rock, or acoustic. You name it & I'm all over it. I play the ukulele and saxophone. There's nothing like getting the family or group of friends together to play some music, replaying and creating new memories.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised and taught the doctrine's of the Church. My parents took a lot of time and effort into teaching what's right and letting me know that God loves me. Before this opportunity, my biological mother was a member of the Church from the island of Tokelau, in the Pacific Islands. She was attending school in Honolulu where she met my biological father who was serving there in the military. He was not a member and I honestly am not sure if he is now. They dated but were not yet married. They made mistakes as we all do and I came into the picture. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints offers a Family Service program which includes an adoption agency. They made the decision that it would be best for me to be placed for adoption in a family that could offer me all of the blessings that God has in store for his children. I was placed into a family in Salt Lake City, UT. Now days you can find myself and my pasty family going at the world one day at a time. Because of my adoption I've been able to face trials that have shaped and molded me into the guy I am today. I imagine the decision on my bio parents part was difficult, but I feel it was the greatest thing that's happened to me. Because of them I was able to be taught correct principles and make my own decisions of what is right. Growing up I was a little confused on what to believe and didn't always make the best decisions, but things that my parents taught me and the teachings of the Book of Mormon were standing in my way from hitting rock bottom. Through study and experience I've come to the knowledge of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon & the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

The only way I can think to live my faith is by doing the basics and focusing on the simple things that can make the complex fall into place. By the basics I mean reading from the scriptures daily, praying to God continually, and attending Church services each Sunday. It's easier said than done, but doing these things with a good attitude and open mind is how it really changes me. It's all about the day-to-day for me, living the faith and the application of the things I learn. I also love sharing the gospel with friends and strangers, representing the Church as a full-time missionary.
