Hi I'm Dave

I live in Mesa, Arizona, I am an elementary school principal, a husband, father, and grandfather and I am a mormon.

About Me

I am an elementary school principal. I have worked in elementary schools for 28 years because I enjoy the excitement of learning and watching the light go on when someone learns a new concept. I am a husband and father of three children, and a grandfather of two. My family is the center of my life. I enjoy reading and I always encourage children to read. Especially children of poverty who cannot travel to new and exciting places. Reading can take you anywhere you want to go.

Why I am a Mormon

I find great peace from the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Our family has been able to grow strong becasue of faith in our Heavenly Father and our savior Jesus Christ. Through the teachings of the gospel we have found comfort, healing and great joy in our family. I have hope for the future because I know Heavenly Father is mindful of me. I know He and our Savior Jesus Christ love all of us and they have not left us alone. When I first felt their love for me I knew they would never leave me alone. The personal knowledge of the reality of God and His love for me is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I have dedicated my life to serving my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. That means I serve my fellow beings on this earth because when I serve people, I am doing their work. I help organize many congregations in their Sunday worship service and in the teaching of the gospel. I have the privilege of visiting several families every month to share my faith with them, strengthen them, and provide any help I can give in their life. I enjoy visitng with people and getting to know of their faith and hearing of their journey thrugh life. I am amazed by the diverse experiences of members of the Mormon church and the committment to living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I read the scriptures and pray with my family every day. as a family we spend one night each week learning and playing together. I strive to keep God's commandments every day, live faithful to my wife and children, and be able to answer at any time how I demonstrate my love and appreciation for my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Dave
I know there is a God when I look at the night sky with it's billions of stars and I feel the magnificence of His majesty and power. I know there is a God when I see the beautiful faces of my children and grandchildren and know God is mindful of each of His children. I can see the love of God in all His creations which He has made for His children to enjoy. Show more Show less
