Hi I'm Dan

I was born and raised in the Intermountain West of the USA. I've been a Mormon all my life.

About Me

I am a father of four and a grandfather of 2. I work professionally for a large medical manufacturer. I love to snow ski in the winter with my children but my favorite family acitivity is water skiing on a local lake with my family. Everyone of the children and my wife waterski. It's such a good time being together.

Why I am a Mormon

When Christ was on the earth he established his church which was led by himself and his Apostles. When they had all passed away, the priesthood authority that Christ held was no longer on the earth. This priesthood authority has been restored to the earth and Christ's church has been restored and is known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church is led by a Prophet of God and twelve Apostles. Having this inspired leadership and modern day continuous revelation is a great blessing. There is so much turmoil in the world and having the direction from God that a modern day Prophet offers is a wonderful blessing. I love following and living the teachings of Jesus Christ. They help me everyday maintain the right perspective in life. I love having the knowledge of my purpose in life and where I will go when this life is over. It is wonderful to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday I attend church for 3 hours. During the second and third hour, I spend the time with 10 & 11 year boys teaching them the gospel of Jesus Christ from the scriptures. We have a lesson, we sing gospel songs and listen to other children and leaders talk about the gospel. It's great. Each day in my home, I lead my wife and children in family prayer. We kneel and ask the Lord's blessings on us all and give thanks for all that we have. During the week we participate in family activities that strengthen our unity and our knowledge of Jesus and his gospel. As often as I can, I attend the Lord's Temple and participate in ordinance work for those who can't do it for themselves. Each month I visit the homes of people in my neighborhood to see how they are getting along and leave with them a gospel message and prayer.
