Hi I'm Adolfo

I'm an engineer. I love helping people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm originally from South America (Argentina, Bolivia and Venezuela). I lived in each of these countries for at least five years. Now I'm living in the US. I have three children and I've enjoyed the support and love of my wife who is from Argentina. Education and work have been always important for me. I started as a plant engineer and currently I'm in capital equipment sales in the agro-industry. An MBA and a Ph.D. are part of my training. During my Ph.D program, I entered in contact with Mormons, I did quite an intense search regarding them and I decided to join the Mormon faith before finishing my coursework and disertation. It has been the best decision and experience in my life. I enjoy my work which includes travelling, being in contact with people and solving technical and commercial challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

I found a group of ordinary people (like me) doing an extraordinary work. In my experience, the whole purpose within this great group is to learn from each other, to grow together in faith in Jesus Christ, to serve and to love each other. What's important in the Mormon community is people; more precisely the focus is on each individual exactly in the same way that our Savior Jesus Christ cared for individuals. Each member is a very special son or daughter of a very loving Heavenly Father. All and everyone have the desire to be true followers of Jesus Christ, true Christians and to make good efforts to live this wonderful faith. Since I became a Mormon, I have received so much from everyone, particularly from the leaders. They are excellent teachers, by example and word, with great patience, commitment and love. I have learned and continue learning something new everytime I go to Church meetings, service projects or social gatherings. Only among a group of Saints, commited to be disciples of Jesus Christ, is possible to find such dedication, such love, such patience. I'm absolutely delighted to be part of this group, to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Every day is such a wonderful and beautiful day. It’s for me a great opportunity to improve, to be better, to learn more, in my work, with my family, with the Saints and all those who are around me. I’m not perfect, and many times I’m impatient, even with myself, and yet every day I make efforts to improve. I’ll do it because I have a perfect example, Jesus Christ. I’ll do it because He loves me. I’ll do it because He gives me so much hope and direction in my life. I love listening people, helping, serving, in my own small way, to my brothers and sisters in Jesus. I’m in a great cause, surrounded with great people, knowing that in this life I’m as close as possible to a great light, the light of the world, to the true vine, to the source of all power, knowledge, wisdom and love, even Jesus Christ. And this, in spite of my weaknesses, makes me absolutely happy.
