Hi I'm Stefanie

I'm not normal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a designer right at the beginning of my career, so I still hop from field to field, enjoying every new task more than the last one, which makes it hard to decide on what to settle for. I'm a Bavarian through and through, which means I'm a slow southern german that likes to use understatements and to stir the all american image of Germans wearing dirndl and lederhosn. (did you know there is actually a town called leatherpants?). I've just turned a-quarter-of-a-century, which is the oldest I have ever been. shockingly old. But it provided time to realize how thankful I am for everything and everyone god has blessed me with. I can feel him taking me by the hand and helping me in every ever-so-little detail of the day.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I've seen how much happier I am when I live according to the gospel. It makes me want to be a better person and whenever I improve in that overwhelming task of being a good version of myself, I find out that my love for both myself and others grows and grows. I LOVE the feeling of having the Holy Spirit of God with me each day and if it requires for me to be a mormon to have that feeling, I will gladly be one all my life.

How I live my faith

I've been a leader for the childrin (aged 3-12) in my ward for a little over 4 years now and I wonder whom it has taught more. I've grown to love other people's children more than I ever imagined being able to love a child at all. They make my day when they draw a portrait of me as a princess with a loooong loooong scarf or tell their parents what they have learned in church that sunday while I thought none of them was listening. Living in a country with very few members has often made it hard to be a mormon. But I consider it a blessing. For now I can say I KNOW what I believe. I KNOW what I want. I KNOW that heavenly father loves me even more than I am able to love the children in my sunday class. It hasn't been easy making the decision to believe and stand up for that belief. But the decision is ever more firm.
