Hi I'm Cory

I'm a Mormon. Thats whats up!

About Me

So I am 19 years old and was born and raised in California. I really enjoy playing sports. My favorite is basketball and I could play all day long. I enjoy watching movies and kickin it with my friends and family. I have big family, including 6 brothers and 1 sister. I have been an Uncle since I was 10 years old and really enjoy my nieces and nephews. I went to college in Hawaii and love the sunshine. Life is Good, and I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I recieved an answer to my prayers about the Book of Mormon. My whole family is a member and so I have always had that influence around me. There came a point when my beliefs began to get tested. I had to decided if everything I was raised to believe was true. I went to the source of what we believe, the Book of Mormon. I read, pondered and prayed about it and recieved an answer in my heart that I knew it was true. What I learned from reading The Book of Mormon is that Jesus Christ is at the center of it. On the cover of the book it reads "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" because the book truly testifies and teaches about Christ. He is the most important part of what I believe. I know that Jesus Christ died for me but also that he suffered in the Garden of Gesthemne for all of my sins, pains, temptations and afflictions. And although he was killed on the cross I know that he rose 3 days latter. I am eternally grateful for Christ's sacrifice, because it allows me to be forgiven of my sins and it gives me hope for a better life.

How I live my faith

By trying to follow the example that my Savior set for me.

Are Mormons Christians?

Cory
I love this question because I got asked all the time by my friends in High School. And I would explained to them very simply that being christian means having a belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And most people don't think we believe in Christ but in fact he is the foundation of all that we believe. So if Christ is at the center of our church and our beliefs we should easily be considered CHRISTians. Show more Show less
