Hi I'm Kendra

I'm a teacher. I want to be an author. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a larger family and I love it. I love to go around more than once in round abouts. I think people are fascinating, it is so funny to see how different people react to different circumstances. I love to write stories. I love my little white dog. I just recently graduated from college and I am a teacher. I love to watch the rain or snow from a big window, while I sit next to a cozy fire and I like to read.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be, because living my life the way God wants me to brings me peace. I love having purpose and direction. I love knowing what I want in this life and in the next, and having the hope that though things are not perfect now they will get better. I love the knowledge that through Christ all things are and will be made right, that the difficulties I have are not going to last forever. I have hope of a better world and more happiness with my family. I love the knowledge that there is more to life and my trials than just the things we see right now. Learning of Christ and Heavenly Father and their love for me brings me some of the greatest happiness I have been able to find in this life. I am a Mormon because by being one I find hope! I have a reason to get up in the morning and I want to help others find the same happiness and hope in their lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going and doing. That is one of the principal messages of our faith, it is to go and do. We are taught to learn and grow and become what you can be and to go and do what you know is right. Being a Mormon is not just belonging to a church it is a way of living. Every aspect of my life is effected by my faith in Christ. How I respond to others at work and in my day to day interactions is a reflection of my love for the Savior and my knowledge that everyone I come in contact with is a child of God. Being a Mormon inspires me to live up to what I know I can be, to go forward and help and serve and do the best that I can since I know who I am as a child of God and I know what he expects of me.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Kendra
The church has had unpresidented growth since it's restoration in the early 1800's and the reason for its growth is that it is the one and only true church of God and Jesus Christ on the earth today. It contains the truth that Jesus Christ taught when he was here on the earth. We read from the Bible and the Book of Mormon and both of these holy and sacred books testify of God and of Jesus Christ. They help us grow closer to him and to learn of the the true doctrines that allow us to live with God and with our families forever. This church contains the truth and it is what all people are seeking even if they don't know it. The church grows because people want the truth and they want the peace and happiness that comes from knowing that truth. The church grows because our members know this and they desire to share what they know and feel with everyone in the world. Show more Show less
