Hi I'm Ariel

I'm a wife, student, runner, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the middle child of a big family. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters who have become my very best friends growing up. I am currently attending school to receive my Bachelor degree in Ecology. My husband and I both love the outdoors. We love to go hiking, camping, fishing, and yes... even bird watching. :D We're just that weird. ;) One of my favorite things to do is run. I ran my first 1/2 marathon two years ago and am hoping to run a full marathon this next year and begin training for a triathlon soon after. I love being active and being out in the beautiful world my Heavenly Father has created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because no matter how difficult and challenging this life might seem at times the Gospel teaches us that we are never alone. We have the ability to talk and share our trials with our Heavenly Father at all times. We can know that through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we are surrounded with the love of our Father in Heaven and the earthly angels that He sends us. We always have family and friends within the Gospel to give us the strength that we need. In this Gospel we know that we can be with those we love throughout all eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being confident in sharing the beliefs that I have. There are always opportunities to share what I know as well as to be an example of the standards our Father in Heaven asks us to uphold. I feel that as I live my life in the best way that I can, I can help others to recognize what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has to offer.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Our missionaries proselyte from door to door, and in many other forms because they know that the Gospel is true. With that knowledge that we have it is impossible to not feel the importance of sharing this great message. The Prophet Joseph Smith stated that, "A man filled with the love of God is not content with blessing his family alone, but ranges through the whole world, anxious to bless the whole human race." We proselyte because it is true. The only way that any one can know that it is true is if they first understand the doctrine of that truth and feel the spirit testify of it. Without that knowledge their is no hope. How can any one know the truth if they have not first heard it? Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Why would Mormons only help Mormons? What would be the fun in that?! We love to help the world. All of God's children are in need of help in one way or another. When Christ was on the earth he performed many miracles and services for the children of men. Without those services his love could not be shown fully. Because He loves his children God serves them, because we love them as well, we serve them. D Show more Show less
