Hi I'm Jenn

I am a teacher, I am a wife, and I am a daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the church but didn't really attend church in my youth. I came from a what I thought was called a normal family but later realized wasn't so normal. I grew up with very low self esteem and somewhat difficult circumstances. I wasn't truly happy. I didn't have any joy or peace in my life. I am now a 29 year old young woman who has come to understand and know that I am more...I am a daughter of God, daughter of our heavenly King. I am a teacher and a wife. I love the outdoors...being among God's creation. I mostly love being me...a child of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored in its fulness. I know that this church is Christ's church, the fulness of Christ's church was lost. Our merciful Father (God) and His Son Jesus Christ loves us so much that they brought all of Christ's gospel back to the earth...giving God's worthy children the power to act in His name to provide us those saving ordinances. The message of the Restoration is the most important message since the birth of Christ. I am a mormon because Christ's full doctrine brings peace, hope, joy and eternal happiness back into my life. I know that we are children of God and He loves us so much. He wants us to return to Him with our families. He has provided a way for us to do that...if we live righteously and we are sealed to our families by God's power, can we return with our families.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best way that I know how. I know that I may stumble sometimes...but because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can be picked up and helped along this journey called life. I strive each day to be better than the day before. I embrace each trial that comes my way because I know I will become stronger after. I overcome with the help from God.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes husband and wife can be together forever. They don't have to allow death to seperate them. It is only through the power of God that a man and woman can be married forever. God has given His authority, to seal a marriage in heaven, to worthy men. When the power of God is present your family can be sealed together for all eternity. Show more Show less

The church of Jesus Christ was Restored in New York, after a 14 year old boy inquired of God which church he should join. Joseph Smith was chosen by God to be the Prophet of the restoration. The church was originally organized and established by Christ himself. Christ restored His church through Joseph Smith. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

The Restoration was prophesied by many of the prophets of old. The Restoration needed to occur because the fulness of Christ's gospel was lost shortly after the death of Christ. The apostles were left to carry on the gospel but they too were rejected. Over time the gospel of Jesus Christ became distorted and corrupted, intentionally and unintentionally. We see that even in history...it's called the dark ages. Even the bible itself has become altered and changed. There are thousands of different translations of the bible. It is through the resoration that we can gain a deeper understanding of Christ's doctrine. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We do believe that Jesus is our Savior. There was a need for a Savior in God's eternal plan for us. We were given the ability to choose good or evil. We needed to show that we really wanted to return to God again. Because of the Fall of Adam and Eve, two types of death came into the world. Spiritual death-which is separation from God. Which happened when they were cast out of the garden. Also, physical death. There was no way we could overcome both deaths. We all sin...so we are unclean. No unclean thing can live in the presence of God. So we needed a way to be able to overcome our sins and become clean again. We also needed the our bodies the become like our Father. Christ was the way. He overcame spiritual death and physical death by His resurrection. These were all part of God's plan and they were necessary. Show more Show less
