Hi I'm Andy

I'm a Mormon. I live in Southern Georgia. I am the greatest dad in the world and I have the mug to prove it.

About Me

I am a husband to a beautiful wife and dad of 4 kids. I am the third child of 9 kids. Growing up with all those brothers and sisters was great. We never were bored and there was always someone to play catch with. I am a geologist and work in the mining industry. I enjoy my job but really love coming home because at home I am a hero. I wish someone would pay me to be a great dad. I have plenty of room for improvement but my wife loves me anyway. She has constructed and reconstructed me for 16 years now and I owe her more than the promises I made on our wedding day. I love being outdoors with my family. We love beaches, deserts, mountains and any other landscape. I try to stay physically fit so that I can continue to run with my kids. I have plans to backpack with the whole family when the yougest is old enough. I like to golf but rarely get out to the course because golfing takes up so much time in the evenings or weekends. Fishing is a different story. I can bring the family with me fishing.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church before I was born. I was raised a Mormon. My dad always taught his kids that we did not have to go to church but that we get to go. It took me 19 years to find out how blessed I was to be a member of this chucrh. There was never any compulsion to accept the teachings of the church, rather there was example after example from scriptures, from friends, from leaders, from parents that God would teach me truth. This only occured when I sincerely wanted to know. It took prayer and during that prayer I was reminded who I was and where I came from and how to be happy in life. I did not see the Savior in great vision but the spirit of God taught me so peacefully and so definitively and I knew that God loved me and always would. I am a Mormon because it's real.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I am happy when I can help other people be happy. My faith is founded in Jesus Christ and He sacrificed all for me so I try to follow his commandments. I am given many opportunities to live my faith in the church by helping youth understand the Gospel. I also try to serve my neighbors in any way I can, which is often yard work. I think the most affect I can have is by being the best father to my kids and the best husband to my wife.
