Hi I'm Michael Sean

I love mexican food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Michael-Sean and I'm 22 years old. I'm a full-time student and enjoy hanging out with my siblings, going skiing, playing ping-pong, and eating mexican food. I served as a Mormon missionary for 2 years in Ireland and Scotland.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I found out for myself that this church is true. I come from a family that has been members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a long time. I have ancestors who joined the church in Scotland in the 1850s and sacrificed everything they had to follow the saints as they travelled west to Utah. However, I wanted to know for myself if it was all true--if this was the true church, if there really was a God, and if there was a purpose of life. And so I decided to "test" the gospel and see if it was true. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed many times and asked God, ''Is the Book of Mormon true?'' One day, after I prayed, and started to read again, I felt a strong feeling of peace and happiness come over me. It stayed with me the entire time as I read. The next day, as I read again, the same feeling of peace and joy returned. I recognized that I had felt the Holy Ghost, and that this was an answer from God that the book was true. I continued to read day after day, and the feeling became clearer and stronger. I have since had many more spiritual experiences that have confirmed my testimony, and now I know for sure that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that God lives, that Jesus Christ lives, and that this is His true church on the earth. I know that God has a purpose for my life and for the live's of all of His children.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and participate in church activities throughout the week. I serve as a home teacher, which means that I visit a few church members in their home once a month, teach them more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and be their friend.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Michael Sean
We are all children of God and lived with Him as spirits before we were born on earth. Because He loves us, God provided a plan for us to come to earth and gain experience, receive a physical body, have joy, and prepare to live with Him again. While here on earth, we need to follow Jesus Christ and keep his commandments. When we make mistakes and sin, we can repent, and God will forgive us. If we live Jesus Christ's Gospel, we can live with God again after we die and live with our families forever. Show more Show less
