Hi I'm Steven

I'm a lover of sports, fun, and laughing. I'm from California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am originally from southern California, born and raised. I have been blessed with a great family. I love to play sports; I am a very active person. Some of the sports that I love to play are Football, Basketball or Volleyball whether it is indoors or out on the beach, I love it. I am currently serving a 2-year mission for my church in Philadelphia and it has been the best, the hardest, tough, joyful, and fulfilling thing ever and it still is and always will be, but to put it simply its awesome. I love to have fun and if you aren’t having fun then you’re doing something wrong and you need to change or change something to fix it, because you’re supposed to have fun and laugh. Laughing is amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

Well it started when I was younger and I am sure the Lord was preparing me for this. I grew up in the church and all I can say I was going because my parents went and I had some friends there, but most of my friends were outside of the church and I wasn’t getting anything out of church, not because it wasn’t good, but because II wasn’t investing my time there. Then a bit later in life and still at a young age my parents got a divorce, let’s just say that brought reality to me early in life. At that time I was trying to figure things out because now there was a hole that needed to be filled in my life. So instead of turning away from God like some people do in these situations that we face in life, I actually started doing the things that were taught at church. I picked up the Book of Mormon and read it, started praying everyday and investing my time and attention at church. As I did so I came to know by the power of the Holy Ghost that it was true because I was happy, the hole was filled, and the joy that came into my life was amazing and I knew that this was of God, there is no way I that my life could improve that much and it not be of God. So the conclusion is once the real intent is there or the motto I like to live by “You get out of it, what you put into it”.

How I live my faith

Right know in my life I am serving a 2-year mission for the church and I love it! It is an amazing experience and truly I know that it will have an effect on how I live my life forever. I also choose to stand up for what’s right such as not using foul language, no drinking, and no smoking and so forth. Really when it comes down to it by example and joy the gospel brings me.
