Hi I'm James

I love life and I'm a Latter-Day Saint!

About Me

I'm 24, married to a beautiful woman, and going to school in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I enjoy traveling, playing soccer, and many things in the outdoors like fishing and backpacking.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story has taken 24 years and is still in the making but I do have a testimony that the church is God's church, we are led by a living prophet, the Book of Mormon is true and Jesus Christ is our Saviour! I've gained my belief by reading the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, praying, and attending church. Living the principles taught and seeing the blessings I've received bears witness to me that I'm living the true gospel of Christ. I've received many answer to questions through my thoughts and feelings which I've identified as the Holy Ghost, not just me. I know it. I know all can receive that witness, and evidence as well.

How I live my faith

I'm blessed to attend church each week, and I often have the opportunity to teach other church members in Sunday School. I've been taught by the spirit, and by other members of my ward more times than I could count. However, a truly christian life is lived everyday, and I try to follow the example of The Savior in what I do during each week.

What is being a Mormon like?

James
It's amazing. There is a reason for all things that we do and all of them positively affect our lives. I'm happiest when I live the principles that are taught to us. Sounds crazy but it works. It is a very positive uplifting experience and to be fair, is not that weird. The biggest difference is you have more purpose, worth, and vision. You're happier! Being a Mormon may be challenging at times, but I'm personally grateful for those challenges, and the opportunity that I have to grow, improve, and reach my true potential. Show more Show less
