Hi I'm Austin

I grew up in Northern Virginia. I served a mission in Argentina. I am a student at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated 3 of my class, and am currently a college student. I was a gymnast, pole vaulter, and i also ran hurdles. I love the cello.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, and my parents and teachers have always taught me good values and to trust in God. I'm grateful for this atmosphere of love and learning that surrounded my childhood. As a teen, I felt many times that no one understood me nor did they love me. I never let this show, but it was always a thought nagging in the back of my mind. Until I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true, I was just going through the motions. When I prayed, I felt loved more that I could imagine. I know there is a loving Heavenly Father and that he is always there for us. He always loved, loves, and will love us. I know this church is true. After having served for two years in Argentina, I have seen the blessings of having the gospel in my life. It truly is God's plan for us.

How I live my faith

I recently came home from teaching people about God's plan for us in Argentina. Sundays are a special day when I attent church. Occasionally, I've had the opportunity to teach classes and to give talks from the pulpit.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Austin
No matter what your background, no matter what your education, no matter what your language, race, or gender, God will answer your prayer, because you are His child. If you sincerely ask with faith, He will answer through your feeling and thoughts. Many times, he waits for us to make a decision, like going to church, or reading the Book of Mormon before He answers our prayers, but He always answers, and in His own time. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Austin
We are Christians. I believe in Christ. All the sacred scriptures we have testify of Him, His life and ministry, and how we can return to our Heavenly Home through his death and atonement. I know that Christ lives and that he is the Son of God. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been brought back in this time so that we can enjoy the blessings and true knowledge of God's plan for us. Show more Show less
