Hi I'm Derek

I grew up in Arizona. I love staying active, and having fun. I served a mission in Philadelphia, and I am A Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 4 children. I am the oldest, and i have 3 younger sisters. I have a wonderful family who i love very much. They're love and excitement is what keeps me going! I love having fun, and Going to Mexico is by far my favorite place to vacation. I love staying active. Hiking, biking, working out, and riding motorcycles makes me happy! Right now im currently living in Dover Delaware, serving a mission for the church, and i love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Morman because i have found it to be true. By reading the Book of Mormon, and praying and asking God if the Book of Mormon is true, i have felt the Holy Ghost whitness the truth of it to me. I know the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible are both Testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ, and as we read these two books we can know that God lives, and loves us, and that he has given us his true Gospel, and he calls a prophet today to lead us and guide us, so that we may return to live with him again.

How I live my faith

Right now i am currently living my life as a Missionary for my Church. For two years i have been called to serve Heavenly Father as a missionary and to share his Gospel with everyone!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

The reason we baptize our new members is because we believe that we have been givin the Authority to baptize in the name Of Jesus Christ, and that by this Authority it is recorded and excepted by Our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

People sometimes wonder why the Mormons dont drink or smoke, and the answer is, is we are commanded by our heavenly father not to. Our bodies are not our own, they were bought with a price through the death of Christ. We treat our bodies as Temples of God because they are sacred and Holy, and as we Follow this commandment given to us from God, we will have a better chance at living a long er healthier life, and by doing this God will Bless us.
