Hi I'm Michelle

I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 4 children and I just got married almost 5 months ago. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love music, both listening to it and making it playing the piano, guitar, or singing. I love to be active, playing soccer, wakeboarding, swimming, and others. I really enjoy cooking, and love to try out new recipes on my husband! I am finishing up my bachelor's in Public Health and want to work in childhood nutrition. I love to learn and really like to read. I love to travel and have visited much of Europe. I would love to backpack there, and I want to visit New Zealand, India, and Africa.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised going to church and learning about God. I have never questioned His existence, and as I have gotten older I have seen more and more His hand in my life. I definitely know that God knows who I am and that He cares about me. I made the decision to keep going to church for myself when I was about 18. I had always gone because it was expected of me, and while I knew it was the right thing to do, I began going with a different mindset. I now go because I want to be there, and it gives me strength to get through challenges. I actively practice my faith because it now means something to me very personally, instead of only believing on my parents' faith. I definitely have my weaknesses and times in life where my faith is weak, but I never doubt in God's abilities or in the fact that He wants me to be happy, and that whatever is happening in my life is part of His plan.

How I live my faith

I do my best to go to church every Sunday, and to not just practice my faith, but to live it. I pray multiple times every day, sometimes more formal on my knees and other times in my mind as I go throughout my day. I love knowing that God is so accessible and that everyone can talk to Him whenever they need to. I try to read the Bible and Book of Mormon everyday, and right now I'm reading the gospels in the New Testament. I have assignments in church, serving in the nursery tending toddlers during church and teaching them simple gospel messages. I also get to visit other women in the ward monthly, sharing a spiritual message, personal experiences, and serving them if they need anything. I love how we all look out for one another in the church, I love feeling love and support from my neighbors and friends.
