Hi I'm Teddy

I'm attending college. I play the harp. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 21 years old attending college to be an elementary school teacher. I play the harp, sing, and love being with my family. I have five brothers and two sisters. We love to boat, sled, hike, bike, build, laugh, and simply spend time with each other.

Why I am a Mormon

What is it that we all really want in this life? Is it power or money or love? What we want is to be truly happy. I am a Mormon because I understand how to find that true happiness. It is through living the commandments of our Heavenly Father. It is when we are obedient and turn our lives to the Savior that we find eternal joy that will guide us through the difficulties we encounter through life. I've felt the darkness of despair and hopelessness. This comes when my life is turned away from the Savior's teaching and His love. I am a Mormon because I follow His truths to find happiness.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means following the Savior's example to serve and bless the lives of every person around me. I live my faith by trying to help the people that I run into everyday, whether that is in my apartment or on campus at school. It means stepping out of convenience and into love, pure love that has no time limit, no qualifications, and no exceptions. When I live this principle, I begin to understand my purpose and my potential.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

We believe that the Book of Mormon is another testament of our Savior, a companion and witness to the Bible. The reason to study scripture is not to learn about history or to make ourselves look righteous. Studying scripture brings us truth that leads us to answers from our Father in Heaven. Each time we read the words of Prophets it is as if God is speaking to us personally. We can find answers to earnest prayer, worries, doctrine, and questions. They are a guide for how to live our lives. Show more Show less
