Hi I'm Jason

I was born in Utah, I grew up in Idaho, it only makes sense that - I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 4th of 6 children, I grew up for 9 years in Utah, then moved to Idaho. I am a volleyball enthusiast, I quite enjoy music, I play the Fiddle... or at least I used to, I try now. I am an avid defender of the Constitution. I have no idea what else to put... I find a lot of enjoyment in being alive, and being outside... I love going four wheeling with my siblings. Served a 2 year mission from June 2010 to 2012 in Phoenix Arizona. I have some lofty educational goals, that I'm not really sure I will acheive, but I will definitely strive to, I don't necessarily care for the piece of paper that says I'm smart, I really just want to go to school so I can learn things, I love to study and to know things. There is nothing that I really find boring, so I just want to know about everything. I especially love studying scripture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but like everyone I had to find my own testimony at some point in life. I found such a testimony at the age of 15 through much prayer. I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost told me that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I'm a Mormon because I want to follow my Savior Jesus Christ by LIVING His Gospel, the Gospel that He restored in its fullness to a young boy named Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I LIVE my faith, every day I am living my faith. I preach the gospel every day, I read my scriptures every day, I pray all throughout the day. My faith is not 'activated' on sunday, it is locked into the ON position. James in the Bible teaches that pure religion is action based, helping others. I love other people, most of the time, I love to listen to their life stories and hopefully help them come closer to Jesus Christ. I'm certainly not perfect, but thats why its still faith, I'm striving to do better, to be more Christlike.

In whom should we have faith?

An interesting question. One that came up recently here on my mission. I was discussing this with a man who had a PhD in bible studies. First, what is faith? "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 111. We cannot have faith in an untrue principle. It is EVIDENCE of things not seen, it must be a constant, something that will not fail. We must put our faith IN Jesus Christ, anything else cannot be true faith. All faith, if true faith, can be built upon, can be substantiated, if we put 'faith' in something that is not true, it will oen day fail. Jesus Christ will never fail us, it is in Him that we must put our faith..  Show more Show less
