Hi I'm Sadie

I grew up in a very small town in central Utah. I am currently a student at Southern Utah University. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I am currently attending college where I am working on getting my Bachelor degree in Nutrition. One of my hobbies is running. I've been a runner for about 2 years, and I am training for my 3rd half marathon now. One of my favorite things to do is to read. I love it! I am also a movie fanatic. I have a huge movie collection and I love going to the movie theater.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS family and community where almost everyone was a member of the church. It was a great experience because I had amazing examples of faith all around me. But I felt like I lived my life the way everyone else lived and wanted me to live. I didn't really have my own testimony of the gospel and was living off of everyone else's testimonies. Don't get me wrong, I loved being a member of the mormon church and I did have spiritual experiences, but I really wanted to have my own answers and assurances that this church was true and have a strong testimony of my own. So I decided to go to a college about 400 miles away from ALL of my family and friends. I knew it would be hard and I would struggle being on my own, but I felt like I needed to learn some things for myself. And I got the answers I was looking for! right away I felt like I was alone and lost. The only thing that brought me comfort was knowing my Heavenly Father and Saviors love for me and that I was never really alone. I turned to prayer many times and asked Heavenly Father to comfort me and thanked him for his love and support in my life. Because of this my relationship with my Savior grew. He helped me through so many trials when I was alone and answered so many prayers. Because of this, I gained such a strong testimony of our Heavenly Father and Savior and that made other parts of my testimony grow also. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church! I know I am loved and I will never be alone, even during the darkest of times. The gospel brings me so much comfort and hope, and I wish everyone could feel the same happiness I feel when learning about the gospel. I know there will be even harder times in my future, but I am comforted to know that I will not have to go through those hard times alone.

How I live my faith

I attend a Young Single Adult ward at my college campus. It's such a great ward and I have so much fun! My bishop is amazing and so are all the members of my ward. They really make me feel like I am loved and I belong there! Right now I am one of the ward pianist and choristers. I love my calling because I am able to help invite the spirit to our church meeting through music.
