Hi I'm Michael

I'm a college graduate looking for my first real job and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and live in a nice townhouse. I use my bicycle to go everywhere. I like reading and watching documentaries on Native Americans and early European settlers. I have work on an archeology project, sifting through the dirt and finding some 17th century ceramics and iron wares.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very religious as a child. I know God was looking down on me and I was always worried that I was disappointing him. I thought if I studied scriptures long enough than everything would seep in and I would be good. I believed the word of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. When I was eight I wanted to be baptized because Jesus was baptized and my sins could be washed away. Following the covenant I had made when I was baptized is still important to me. I want to continue to be part of his church so my sins can be forgiven when I repent. That is why I am still a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I work with the teenage boys from my church. We discuss the gospel each Sundays. One night during the week, we meet for Boy Scouts or play floor hockey in the church's gym. Outside of church, I volunteer as a tutor for middle-school kids. I relearn math for the gig, but it was worth it.
