Hi I'm Jake Jarvis

I grew up in Snowflake Arizona, I am a soccer player, Im a Guitar player/lyric writer, Im a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town call Snowflake Arizona. I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but i never fully excepted the gospel until i began serving a mission on August 18th 2010. I am the oldest of two siblings and they are truly my best friends. I have a personal belief no one is closer than we are. I play acoustic guitar and write my own songs. Its nothing i think i am going to go anywhere with career wise but its my escape from the world. I love to talk! Since i have been serving my mission for the church over a year now i have found a great love for teaching and speaking!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member in this church because it brings my family closer together. That is the biggest motivation for everything i do. I want my family and my future family to be happy. I know being in Christ's true church is the only way to have true and everlasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith but appying the Atonement of Jesus Christ everyday. This is in no way an easy thing to do. It requires daily scripture study, daily and constant prayer, daily repentence and daily improvement. In this life i know that i cannot expect perfection but i can strive for it with the hope that i will and can be clean, pure and perfect through Jesus Christ. To live faith rather than just have faith requires 5 things. 1st, That i have faith in Jesus Christ and in his Atonement and realize i need it in my life. 2nd, that i act upon that faith and realize it is an action word. Faith put into action is called repentence. 3rd, that i renew my covenents, or promises, i made with God when i was Baptized and recommit to keep the commandments. 4th, That i live worthy so that i may have the influece of the Holy Ghost with me to protect me and guide me. And 5th, That i do this process for the rest of my life and endure to the end.
